Odor complaints

We offer a total line of Odor Gone products, which are odor absorbent, not odor masking, for customers that have problems with odors, mold, mildew, musty crawl spaces, dirty blower motors and ductwork.

A common occurrence that causes odors is when animals become trapped and die inside the ductwork.  After removal of the animal, the product we would use is Odor Source Eliminator, which is an enzymatic bacterium which breaks down any flesh or sinews left after removal.

Also available by Odor Gone is a semi-solid block that can be installed in the ductwork, the average life expectancy is 3 months which is excellent for removal of strong consistent odors, such as in pets stores, beauty salons, etc.

SmokeSolv and OdorSolv by Chemspec was developed to effectively cure odor problems of many types. They handle a variety of odors such as smoke odors caused by fires to mold and mildew odors attributed to water damage to everyday odors caused by cooking and pets.

Protective coatings

The main use of encapsulates is to stabilize insulation to prevent break down. We utilize the full line of products from the Fosters company, including 40-20 and 40-30, a fungicidal protective coating. Foster’s Fungicidal Protective Coating guards against the regrowth  and spread of odor causing bacteria and molds on the surface of the coated HVAC system or its treated components only. As a result, the building occupants may enjoy a work space free of the odor problems often associated with contaminated HVAC duct systems.

Sanitization

Sanitization is essential for controlling and/or eliminating mold, dust mites and bacteria that live inside the ductwork and air handler. The bacteria, mold and fungal spores that inhabit the interior of air carrier systems have been proven to be a health risk in residential and commercial environments. The combination of source removal followed by sanitization can be extremely effective in reducing the harmful potential associated with this microbial contamination.

Mold containment is an important part of the remediation process. Various methods are used for separating the affected area to keep mold spores from spreading. When encountering mold situations, we utilize two different excellent products from Bio-Cide, Oxine and EnviroCon.

Oxine is a powerful hard surface sanitizer. It is registered by the EPA for the sanitization and deodorization of ventilation systems and air conditioning duct work. It has been proven effective against numerous organisms such as Legionella pnuemophila, Aspergillus and Stachybotrus and is a registered tuberculocide.

EnviroCon is highly effective in eliminating odor-causing microorganisms as well as those associated with mold, mildew and bacteria growth. A point of contact application, it is an excellent bacteriostat, germistat, and fungistat. EnviroCon  eliminates odors at the source through a chlorine dioxide release process that destroys organisms at the origin. EnviroCon uses no perfumes or masking agents, any environmentally damaging propellants or flammable ingredients.

Long term Sanitization

Algae Guard is an EPA-registered controlled-release drain pan cleaner. It is a micro-biocide that effectively acts on odors, caused by standing water which is a breeding ground for mold and bacteria.  An air conditioning drain pan is constantly collecting and draining moisture from your air conditioning coil, which is then discharged through the condensate drain. When water is present, Algae Guard’s controlled-release polymer releases a broad spectrum biocide and cleanser into the pan. It leaves no chemical residue in the pan and the ingredients are not volatile and will travel through the air stream. It is approved for use in medical facilities, nursing homes, government, commercial buildings, residential air conditioning units, cruise ships, airports, hotels, resorts, schools and industrial areas.
